The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The DLS Performance PESB18 is a compact enclosed subwoofer with a 20 cm (8") woofer, designed specifically for use in vehicles with limited space. Thanks to its small dimensions and practical form factor, it can be easily installed even in smaller vehicles. The design is based on the same philosophy as its larger sibling, the PESB28, and delivers controlled, musical bass.

The down-firing design utilizes the interaction with the vehicle's interior to naturally amplify low frequencies. This results in deeper and more impressive bass without requiring a large enclosure volume. The built-in woofer features a paper cone and a ferrite magnet, enabling natural and precise reproduction in the low-frequency range.

The enclosure is made of sturdy MDF with internal bracing, which minimizes unwanted resonance and ensures clean bass reproduction. The sealed enclosure design, with a volume of 9.3 liters, delivers tight, controlled low-frequency bass. A stitched-on DLS logo rounds out the understated, high-quality appearance and blends seamlessly into the Performance Series.
