Ampire Cables and Accessories for Optimal Signal Transmission

To ensure a low-loss power supply for your audio system, Ampire offers power cables in 4, 6, 10, 25, 35, and 50 mm². The 4, 6, and 10 mm² versions are made of OFC, or oxygen-free copper. The red-and-black color coding makes it easier to ensure correct polarity during installation.

OFC speaker cables are available in 0.75, 1.5, 2.5, and 4 mm² for signal transmission to the speakers. The 1.5-mm² cable is also available in a twisted-pair version that minimizes interference. In addition, there are 1-mm² remote control cables in blue or black.

The Ampire product line also includes power amplifiers, speakers, and a car stereo:

MBM 1000.1-2G and MBM 500.1-4G: Mono power amplifiers for your subwoofer
SCC165: A 16.5-cm Kompo system as a speaker upgrade for the doors
CPR60: a 1-DIN car stereo with a 6.38-inch touchscreen, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB+, and one camera input for a front camera and one for a rear camera. Both accept the video signal from an AHD camera or a traditional CVBS camera (also known as FBAS).

Why does the cable gauge determine your audio performance?

The correct cable gauge is crucial for a low-loss power supply to your audio system. As a rule of thumb: The higher the power output of the power amplifier and the longer the cable, the larger the gauge you should choose. A power cable that is too thin leads to voltage drop, power loss, and, in the worst case, overheating.

For small setups, 4 or 6 mm² is often sufficient. Medium-sized systems require 10 mm². High-power amplifiers such as the MBM 1000.1-2G require 25, 35, or even 50 mm². The right size of cable lugs also ensures a secure connection.

Ampire Quality for Your Installation

Behind every neatly installed cable lies the goal of getting the most out of your audio system. With Ampire cables, you get the right connection cables for power, speakers, and remote controls all from one source—ranging from affordable cables sold by the meter to 50-mm² cables for high-performance setups.

If you’re looking to modernize a modern classic or classic car, the CPR60 offers a rare solution: The radio fits into any standard 1-DIN slot (188 x 57 mm, 120 mm mounting depth). Nevertheless, it offers Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, a subwoofer output with an adjustable crossover frequency (50/80/120 Hz), and a video output for an additional monitor. The CPR60 plays videos up to 1080p via USB. The wireless connection to Apple iOS and Android uses 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

We offer free shipping within Germany on orders of €49 or more. You can also choose to have in-stock items delivered as early as the next business day via DHL Express.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ampire Cables and Accessories

What is Ampire, and what does the brand stand for?

Ampire is a brand of automotive electronics and car audio accessories. The product line ranges from wiring harnesses to power amplifiers and speakers to car stereos. At the MT Audio Shop, we focus on cables, power amplifiers, the SCC165 component system, and the CPR60 car stereo.

Is Ampire a good brand?

Yes, Ampire offers high-quality installation accessories at fair prices. This is evidenced by its OFC cables made of oxygen-free copper, a well-thought-out color-coding system, and consistently positive customer reviews—for example, for the 6-mm² power cable.

What cable gauge do I need for my power amplifier?

The appropriate wire gauge depends on the power of the power amplifier and the length of the cable. The higher the power and the longer the cable, the larger the wire gauge:

Compact setups: 4 or 6 mm²
Average power: 10 mm²
High-Performance Systems: 25, 35, or 50 mm²

What matters is the current during continuous operation, not brief peaks.

Why are Ampire's OFC cables better?

OFC stands for oxygen-free copper. This material is a very good conductor and reduces voltage drop. The result: low-loss signal transmission and a reliable power supply for your audio system.

What is the purpose of the red-and-black color coding on electrical cables?

The red-and-black color scheme makes it easier to ensure correct polarity during installation. Red indicates the positive terminal, and black indicates ground. This helps you avoid reverse polarity errors and ensures that your components are safely connected in the vehicle.

What is the purpose of twisted speaker cables?

Twisted speaker cables minimize interference and electromagnetic interference. The twisted design ensures more stable signal transmission. Ampire also offers the 1.5-mm² speaker cable in this version.

Can I connect a backup camera to the Ampire CPR60?

Yes. The CPR60 has one camera input for the front camera and one for the rearview camera, compatible with AHD and CVBS. The system typically switches to the camera view automatically when reverse gear is engaged. The video output also allows the image to be displayed on an external monitor.

How do I find the right Ampire cable in the MT Audio Shop?

Choose the wire gauge based on your power amplifier's output and the cable length. If you have any questions about your vehicle or power amplifier, the team at the MT Audio Shop will be happy to provide expert advice. You can buy online or pick up your order at the store in Pommelsbrunn.
