The DLS CCi500 is a compact Class-D mono amplifier designed specifically to drive subwoofers in the car audio sector. Despite its small size, it delivers up to 550 W RMS into 1 ohm, ensuring powerful, controlled bass reproduction. The sound tuning was carried out in collaboration with renowned acoustics expert Gordon Taylor to ensure a sonically compelling sound signature.
The CCi series’ unique cooling management system features an intelligent heat sink design with numerous cooling fins on the exterior and fine fins on the interior, which dissipate heat from the circuit board through narrow slots in the side panels. This ensures efficient heat dissipation while maintaining high power output. An integrated fan further aids cooling and ensures stable operation even under sustained heavy loads.
For flexible system integration, the CCi500 offers a proven high-level input with an automatic power-on function, making it ideal for retrofitting factory-installed radios. In addition, it features a switchable subsonic filter at 30 Hz, an adjustable bass boost from 0 to +6 dB, and phase reversal (0°/180°). The adjustable low-pass filter, with a frequency range of 35 to 250 Hz, allows for precise tuning to the subwoofer being used.
With a damping factor of over 140, the amplifier maintains full control over the diaphragm of the connected subwoofer at all times. The signal-to-noise ratio of over 92 dB ensures a clean, distortion-free bass foundation. Weighing just 2.4 kg and featuring compact dimensions, the CCi500 can be easily installed even in hard-to-reach locations.
