The DLS Performance Advantage PA4.6D is a compact, 6-channel digital sound processor that serves as the central control unit in car audio systems with separate amplification. It was developed for precise sound tuning, flexible system design, and the characteristic warm, natural DLS sound in the vehicle. With four inputs and six outputs, it offers versatile connection options for a wide variety of system configurations.
At the heart of the PA4.6D is a powerful Cirrus Logic DSP platform with 24-bit, 192 kHz processing capability. Each channel features a 31-band equalizer, flexible crossovers with selectable filter characteristics, and fine-tuned time alignment correction. This allows for the correction of speaker response, compensation for in-vehicle room acoustics, and the creation of a stable, balanced soundstage at the listening position. The signal-to-noise ratio is over 100 dB (A-weighted).
Integration into modern vehicles with factory-installed head units is seamless thanks to the 4-channel high-level input with Smart Load Circuitry, as the circuitry simulates a stable impedance load for factory control units. Additionally, a 2-channel RCA input, an optical digital input, and Bluetooth 5.1 are available. Six RCA outputs allow for the connection of external power amplifiers. Configuration is conveniently handled via a Windows-based USB interface, and up to ten presets can be stored in the internal memory.
