The DLS Performance PE10.D2 is a 25 cm (10") subwoofer designed for use in car audio systems. It is particularly well-suited for small sealed enclosures and delivers impressive bass performance. With a power handling capacity of 300 W RMS and 600 W peak power, it offers ample headroom for powerful low-frequency reproduction.
The diaphragm is made of coated, unpressed paper (NPP cone), which ensures controlled and natural bass reproduction. The diaphragm is driven by two 51 mm (2") voice coils mounted on Kapton® carriers with four-layer copper windings, which ensure high thermal resistance. The linear excursion of ± 9 mm enables clean sound reproduction even at high volume levels.
A dual ventilation system, integrated into both the pole piece and the basket, ensures effective heat dissipation. The sturdy steel basket and the powerful 45-ounce ferrite magnet form a solid foundation for the high-performance driver. The extended backplate allows for additional excursion and protects the voice coil from mechanical damage.
With a dual-voice-coil configuration of 2+2 ohms, the PE10.D2 offers flexible connection options. Depending on the amplifier, the voice coils can be wired in parallel for 1 ohm or in series for 4 ohms. The usable frequency range extends from 20 to 300 Hz, allowing the subwoofer to cover the entire relevant low-frequency range.
