The DLS Performance Evolution PE4.8DA is a compact 8-channel digital signal processor with an integrated Class D amplifier, designed for high-end car audio systems with extended layout requirements. It combines powerful DSP functionality and reliable amplifier performance in a space-saving enclosure and is ideal for vehicles that require seamless OEM integration.

At the heart of the signal processing is a Cirrus Logic DSP platform with 24-bit resolution and a sampling rate of 192 kHz. Each channel features a 31-band equalizer (graphic or parametric), adjustable from -18 to +12 dB in 0.1-dB steps. Flexible crossover filters—including Bessel, Butterworth, and Linkwitz-Riley, with slopes ranging from 6 to 48 dB per octave, as well as precise time alignment from 0 to 15 ms in 0.021-ms increments, enable precise tuning for any installation scenario.

The built-in Class D amplifier delivers 4 x 50 W RMS at both 4 ohms and 2 ohms, ensuring stable, predictable performance regardless of the speaker impedance. If an external power amplifier is added at a later date, the internal amplifier can be disabled via software, allowing the device to function solely as a DSP processor.

The input section offers a wide range of connection options: Four high-level inputs with Smart Load Circuitry ensure compatibility with factory head units that use impedance monitoring. Additionally, RCA inputs, an optical digital input, USB with OTG functionality, and Bluetooth 5.1 are available. Eight RCA DSP outputs allow for flexible signal distribution in complex system configurations. Configuration is performed via a Windows-based USB interface, and up to ten presets can be stored in the internal memory.
