The low-midrange driver features the DLS PENTA basket design, which uses five support pillars instead of the usual four. The asymmetrical arrangement, with precision-pressed stiffening structures on the side surfaces of each strut, provides an extremely rigid mounting platform for the magnetic drive and suppresses mechanical resonances and standing waves in the basket structure. A large 110 mm magnet provides the necessary driving force, while a special rubber dust cap improves reproduction in the midrange and high-frequency ranges.

The 28-mm silk dome tweeter complements the system with natural warmth and fine resolution in the high frequencies. The included crossover operates with a slope of 6 dB (low-pass) and 12 dB (high-pass) at a crossover frequency of 4,500 Hz. An integrated level selector switch allows the tweeter level to be adjusted to suit the installation environment and personal preference. Capacitors with low ESR values ensure low-loss signal processing.

With an installation depth of 75 mm and a mounting hole diameter of 145 mm, the low-midrange speaker fits into many standard vehicle doors.
