The DLS Reference RC3 is a high-quality 3-inch 2-way coaxial speaker designed specifically for discerning music lovers. It is ideal for installation in vehicles where space is limited but an outstanding sound experience is still desired. Its compact design, with a mounting depth of just 35 mm, allows for flexible installation in various locations within the vehicle.
In terms of sound quality, the RC3 impresses with a coated wood-fiber cone that gives the woofer a natural and warm sound character. The integrated 0.5-inch tweeter with a soft silk dome ensures detailed and clean reproduction in the high-frequency range. Nomex® and NBR components contribute to low-distortion operation, while a copper shorting cap further improves distortion performance and inductance characteristics.
The driver is based on an optimized neodymium magnet combined with a non-magnetic voice coil made of Kapton® and copper wire. A special ventilation solution ensures improved heat dissipation and thus a higher power handling capacity, even during extended operation. The low-resonance aluminum basket suppresses unwanted natural resonances and contributes to precise sound reproduction.
The package includes matching crossovers and hexagonal protective grilles, so the speaker can be installed and protected right away. With a power handling capacity of 50 W RMS and an impedance of 4 ohms, the RC3 can be easily connected to standard car stereos or external amplifiers.
