For powerful, balanced bass in everyday use, subwoofers with 300 to 500 watts RMS are sufficient. If you're planning an SPL-oriented setup, opt for models with up to 2,000 watts RMS. It's crucial that the subwoofer's RMS power matches that of the power amplifier.

That depends on the desired sound character. A sealed enclosure delivers precise, tight bass. A bass-reflex enclosure produces more pressure and volume and is ideal for SPL-oriented car audio systems. A third option is a passive radiator, such as the ZXT10PR. It works similarly to a bass-reflex port but does not require a port.

Yes. When used in a sealed enclosure and paired with a well-matched power amplifier, Phoenix Gold subwoofers deliver precise, clean bass. To ensure the subwoofer blends seamlessly with the door speakers, set the low-pass filter to between 60 and 80 Hz.

A short break-in period is recommended. During the first few hours of operation, the subwoofer's suspension will become more supple, allowing it to reach its full performance. Avoid continuously high volume levels during this time.
