The DLS Cruise CR6.D2 is a compact 16.5 cm (6.5") subwoofer designed specifically for use in tight installation spaces. It is ideal as a bass supplement in vehicles where there is no room for larger subwoofers, delivering clean, musical bass with a focus on control and detail. Rather than prioritizing sheer volume, this subwoofer emphasizes a balanced sound that complements the music rather than overpowering it.
Inside, a double-stacked ferrite magnet system (2×22.5 oz) provides the necessary driving force for the Kevlar-reinforced diaphragm. The voice coil consists of four layers of copper wire on a Kapton carrier and ensures thermal stability as well as precise response. The polypropylene dust cap and the die-cast aluminum basket underscore the high-quality craftsmanship and durability of the driver.
Thanks to its optimized suspension and Thiele-Small parameters—with a Qts of 0.39 and an equivalent volume of just 11.2 liters—the CR6.D2 performs with exceptional predictability in small sealed or vented enclosures. The dual terminals allow for flexible wiring of the two 2-ohm voice coils. A matching Cruise protective grille is included, ensuring a clean appearance and providing additional protection for the diaphragm.
