The DLS Cruise CRPP-2.6CX is a 16.5 cm 2-way coaxial speaker designed specifically as a direct replacement for the factory speakers in Seat, Skoda, and VW vehicles. It is part of DLS’s Cruise series, which is designed for seamless integration into existing vehicle systems. Thanks to its high sensitivity of 90 dB, it delivers impressive sound quality even with low amplifier power, making it an ideal upgrade over the stock sound system.
In terms of sound, the CRPP-2.6CX delivers a natural and musical sound. The 6.5-inch woofer with a glass-fiber-reinforced cone ensures precise, low-distortion bass reproduction, while the 1-inch tweeter with a soft silk dome delivers warm and detailed high frequencies. The optimized moving parts also contribute to a low total harmonic distortion. An oversized, powerful magnet system supports dynamic and controlled sound reproduction across the entire frequency range from 65 to 20,000 Hz.
The integrated audiophile 6-dB crossover with a Mundorf® capacitor cleanly separates the tweeter and woofer at 4.8 kHz and ensures harmonious interaction between the two drivers. The speaker basket is made of glass-fiber-reinforced ABS, providing a stable and low-resonance base.
Installation is straightforward, as the speaker is designed as a vehicle-specific solution for Seat, Skoda, and VW. The package includes a lever tool, other mounting accessories, and detailed installation instructions, which ensure a quick and secure installation.
