The DLS Cruise CRPP-BMW1.4 is a vehicle-specific 2-way component system designed as a direct upgrade for BMW and Mini models. It replaces the stock speakers and integrates seamlessly into the existing mounting locations. The Cruise series is known for its natural, musical sound character, which is specifically tailored for in-vehicle installation.
The system combines a 4-inch midrange driver with a glass-fiber-reinforced cone and a 1-inch tweeter with a soft silk dome. The midrange driver ensures precise and detailed reproduction in the midrange, while the tweeter contributes a warm, pleasant sound character. The moving parts are optimized for low distortion, supported by a powerful magnetic system.
The built-in audiophile 12-dB crossover with a Mundorf® capacitor ensures clean separation of the frequency ranges at 4.8 kHz. The speaker basket is made of glass-fiber-reinforced ABS plastic, providing a stable, low-resonance base. With a high sensitivity of 86 dB, a considerable sound level can be achieved even with low amplifier power.
Installation is particularly straightforward thanks to the vehicle-specific fit. The package includes a lever tool, various mounting accessories, and detailed installation instructions, so the upgrade can be performed even without extensive installation experience.
