The DLS Cruise CRPP-VO2.14 is a vehicle-specific tweeter upgrade for newer Volvo models equipped with a Harman/Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins sound system. It was specifically designed for seamless integration into the existing OEM system and brings the characteristic, natural DLS sound to the vehicle. The precision-fit design allows for easy installation without the need for extensive modifications.
The built-in 25-mm silk dome tweeter with a transparent coating ensures detailed yet warm sound reproduction. An internal damping pad and a vented back plate minimize unwanted resonances. A copper short-circuit ring reduces distortion and optimizes inductance parameters, while a high-quality neodymium magnet ensures a high sensitivity of 94 dB.
The included passive crossover operates at a crossover frequency of 4.8 kHz at 12 dB/octave and features high-quality Mundorf Mcap® capacitors as well as a copper-wire air-core inductor. A 4-dB L-pad with high-quality MOX resistors allows you to adjust the tweeter’s level. The package includes a lever tool, all mounting hardware, and detailed installation instructions.
