The DLS Cruise CRPP-VO2.44 is a vehicle-specific 10 cm (4") midrange speaker designed as a direct upgrade for newer Volvo models equipped with the Harman/Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins sound system. It is part of DLS’s Cruise series, which is specifically designed for seamless integration into the original vehicle. Thanks to its precision-fit design, it replaces the factory-installed speakers without the need for extensive modifications and delivers significantly improved sound quality.
In terms of sound, the CRPP-VO2.44 delivers a natural and musical reproduction. The optimized moving parts ensure low distortion, while the glass-fiber-laminated diaphragm guarantees precise and controlled sound radiation. An oversized neodymium magnet provides a powerful drive system that clearly brings out even the finest sonic nuances.
The voice coil is made of non-magnetic Kapton® with copper wire, which contributes to its thermal resilience and durability. The basket is made of glass-fiber-reinforced ABS and provides a stable, low-resonance base. With a high sensitivity of 86 dB, the midrange driver achieves an impressive sound level even with low amplifier power.
Installation is particularly straightforward, as the speaker is designed as a plug-and-play solution. The package includes a lever tool, additional mounting accessories, and detailed installation instructions, so the replacement can be performed even without professional help.
