The DLS Cruise CRPP-VO2.48 is a vehicle-specific 10 cm (4") woofer designed as a direct upgrade for newer Volvo models without a factory-installed Harman/Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins sound system. It fits seamlessly into the existing mounting locations and replaces the original speaker without requiring any extensive modifications to the vehicle. The DLS Cruise series is known for its natural, musical sound character, which is specifically tuned for integration into production vehicles.
In terms of sound quality, the CRPP-VO2.48 impresses with a fiberglass-laminated diaphragm that ensures precise, low-distortion reproduction. The moving parts have been specifically optimized to minimize distortion. An oversized neodymium magnet provides a powerful drive system that enables high sensitivity—allowing for impressive sound quality even with low amplifier power.
The voice coil is made of non-magnetic Kapton® with copper wire, ensuring high thermal resistance and durability. The basket is made of glass-fiber-reinforced ABS and provides a stable, low-resonance base for the speaker. With an impedance of 8 ohms, the woofer is optimally designed for use with factory head units and OEM amplifiers.
Installation is incredibly easy: The package includes a lever tool, all necessary mounting accessories, and detailed installation instructions. This makes upgrading from the stock system quick and easy, without requiring any specialized knowledge of car audio.
