The DLS Cruise CRPP-VO2.64 is a vehicle-specific component subwoofer designed as a direct upgrade for newer Volvo models equipped with the H/K or B&W sound system. It is part of DLS’s Cruise series, which is designed for seamless integration into the original vehicle. Thanks to its precision-fit design, it replaces the stock speakers without requiring extensive modifications and delivers significantly improved sound quality.
In terms of sound, the CRPP-VO2.64 delivers a natural and musical sound. The precise 6.5-inch woofer with a glass-fiber-reinforced cone ensures clean, low-distortion playback across the entire frequency range from 55 to 5,000 Hz. The moving parts have been specifically optimized for minimal distortion, resulting in detailed and authentic music reproduction.
An oversized magnet assembly, combined with a non-magnetic voice coil made of Kapton® and copper wire, ensures powerful drive. This design enables a high sensitivity of 86 dB, allowing for impressive sound quality even at low amplifier power levels. The woofer handles up to 100 W RMS at an impedance of 4 ohms.
Installation is particularly straightforward, as the woofer is designed as a custom solution for the specific Volvo mounting locations. The package includes a lever tool, additional mounting accessories, and detailed installation instructions, all of which enable quick and secure installation. The basket, made of glass-fiber-reinforced ABS, provides a stable, low-resonance base.
