The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.
The DLS Cruise CRPP-VO2.68 is a vehicle-specific component subwoofer designed as a direct upgrade for newer Volvo models without a Harman/Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins sound system. It fits perfectly into the existing mounting locations and replaces the stock speakers without requiring any extensive modifications to the vehicle. The Cruise series is known for the signature, natural DLS sound, which is specifically tuned for integration into original vehicles.
In terms of sound quality, the CRPP-VO2.68 impresses with its natural and musical reproduction and low distortion. The moving parts of the woofer have been specifically optimized to produce a precise and clean sound image. An oversized, high-performance magnet ensures controlled cone movement and high impulse fidelity across the entire frequency range from 55 to 5,000 Hz.
The 16.5 cm (6.5") diaphragm is made of glass-fiber-reinforced laminate, which ensures high rigidity combined with low weight. The voice coil is made of non-magnetic Kapton® with copper wire, which increases thermal resistance and durability. The basket, made of glass-fiber-reinforced ABS, provides a stable, low-resonance base for the entire driver.
Installation is particularly easy thanks to the vehicle-specific fit. The package includes a lever tool, additional installation accessories, and detailed installation instructions. The high sensitivity of 87.7 dB allows you to achieve impressive sound quality even with low amplifier power—ideal for use with the stock head unit.
