The DLS Cruise CRSB-16CH1 is a vehicle-specific subwoofer enclosure designed specifically for the Chevrolet Corvette C5. The enclosure is designed to fit perfectly into the underfloor compartment, leaving the entire trunk usable. As a result, the subwoofer integrates discreetly and unobtrusively into the vehicle, preserving the original character of the interior.
Inside, a 6.5-inch DLS Cruise woofer operates within a carefully tuned bass-reflex enclosure with a volume of 11.4 liters. This combination delivers fast, low-distortion bass reproduction that integrates seamlessly with the factory system. The sound is warm, controlled, and textured—with noticeable depth, without sounding intrusive or boomy.
The voice coil consists of a 4-layer copper winding on a Kapton carrier and is driven by a double-stacked ferrite magnet system. With a power handling capacity of 180 W RMS and 360 W peak power at 4 ohms impedance, the CRSB-16CH1 offers ample headroom for powerful bass reproduction in the 25 to 400 Hz frequency range.
The robust housing design, a protective metal grille with a hexagonal pattern, and the understated finish ensure a long service life and a clean, factory-like appearance. Installation is a precise fit that requires no major modifications to the vehicle.
