The DLS Performance PE8.D2 is a 200 mm (8") subwoofer designed specifically for use in compact, sealed enclosures. With its robust construction and impressive performance, it is ideal for vehicles with limited installation space, without sacrificing powerful bass reproduction.
The diaphragm is made of coated, non-pressed paper (NPP cone), which ensures precise, low-distortion sound reproduction. The subwoofer is powered by a powerful ferrite motor with a 38-ounce magnet and a 1.5-inch Kapton® voice coil with a 4-layer copper winding. The curved base plate allows for an extended excursion of ±9 mm, thereby providing a higher displacement volume despite the compact size.
A dual ventilation system, integrated into both the pole piece and the basket, ensures reliable heat dissipation. The sturdy steel basket guarantees a durable, low-resonance design. With a dual voice coil in a 2+2-ohm configuration, the PE8.D2 offers flexible connection options—whether wired in parallel at 1 ohm or in series at 4 ohms, the subwoofer can be optimally adapted to various amplifiers.
