The DLS Signature S4 is a high-quality, Class AB, 4-channel amplifier designed for demanding car audio applications. It is aimed at enthusiasts who expect uncompromising signal processing and musical detail in their vehicles. With its extremely low total harmonic distortion and an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio of 116 dB (A-weighted), it ensures that only the music signal is audible—free from distracting background noise.
In terms of sound, the Signature S4 impresses with its warm clarity and a firm, authoritative midbass. The frequency range of 10 to 60,000 Hz enables an exceptionally wide soundstage that reproduces both the deepest bass and the finest treble with rich detail. The damping factor of over 300 ensures precise control of the connected speakers and delivers a tight, well-defined soundstage.
Each channel has been individually tuned, and all components are synchronized with one another to ensure perfect coordination. The custom-designed cooling system with an internal fan ensures reliable operation even under heavy load. Every detail—from the power supply to the preamplifier stage—has been optimized.
When used with a digital sound processor (DSP), the Signature S4 offers the option to bypass the entire preamp circuit. This allows an unaltered, clean signal to reach the power amplifier directly, without any loss of sound quality. The high-pass filter can be adjusted within the range of 50 to 500 Hz, allowing for flexible adaptation to various speaker configurations.
